â€Å"Fracking† in Pennsylvania (environmentalist point of view) If someone is given a choice of either healthier life or job, probably the smarter choice would be a healthier life. It might seem unrelated to the topic â€Å"Fracking† in the initial stage, but eventually they are found to be connected. First off, Hydraulic fracturing or â€Å"fracking† is the process of drilling and injecting fluid into the dipper region of the ground at a high pressure in order to release a natural gas to the surface level. So, during this process, in term of fluids, lots of mixture of chemicals and water is used. After the gas is extracted from the ground, along with that, only 10-30% of injected water and chemical comes back to the ground and remaining is observed by the shale. Therefore, this process possess a potential threat to the environment and the human health. The new technological advancement which is also known as â€Å"Fracking† process has tremendously increased the supply of natural gas in America. And on the other hand, as natural gas does not emit the greenhouse gases like that of coal fuel energy, the consumer preference of coal based products switched to natural gas. As supply and demand of natural gas kept increasing, fracking process has also increased in larger extent in different regions of the country.
